Chris Dufey; Find Your “Perfect” Weight Loss Diet With THIS

As promised, weekly #sharinglove via my amazing trainer Chris Dufey.

Your Mother was right…You are unique!

The reason you are confused as what diet or workout to follow is because some people are shouting “do this” and then another mob are preaching the exact opposite.  leaving you in the middle not making any progress with your body — and it affecting your health.

‘Take care of your micronutrients intake. Your body should be Thriving’

It’s not that they are out “to get you”, its because some plans will work for some people, and other plans will work for other people.

But Here Is The Secret Sauce For Weight Loss

  1. Start with a plan that tailored to you and your situation.
  2. Have it work with you – as you and your metabolism changes, your diet and workouts need to.
  3. Have the guidance and support to keep you easily on track and not falling off the wagon like you have before.

Selecting a good weight loss diet to match your fitness goals can be tricky. Depending on what you are trying to achieve and what your body type is, some diets may be more effective than others. Before starting any sort of weight loss diet, always check with your doctor. They can not only clear you for it, but can help by giving suggestions and warnings that can guide you more successfully to your goal.

Starving yourself can backfire in the worst sort of way and make you body store everything coming in instead of burning it. You need to slowly scale back your intake and eat meaningful calories. Increasing your activity and burning more calories with a sensible diet is a good way to slowly loose weight and keep it off. When You’ve Lost Most OF The Weight, But Are Stuck.

…Stubborn Fat

One thing most people run into with a weight loss diet is an plateau or two. You’ve stepped up your routine, maybe even trimmed a little more from the calories but nothing seems to be budging.

To avoid the non-sense, I’m not going to blow smoke and tell you there a ‘magic potion’.  The only potion you need 95% of the time is to stay committed to yourself and keep working hard.  Fat will start coming off from certain areas over your body than others.

There are Alpha and Beta receptors in your fat cells than can “switch on” fat-burning or make it harder to burn off.  To get the famous Female guide on dealing withStubborn Fat Click HERE

If you are having an issue with stubborn fat, you may need to first adjust your workout, and then reconsider your diet. Adding in fat burning herbs and spices can help kick up if your metabolism has started to drag for some reason. Peppers, such as cayenne, are great for helping boost your fat burning. Black pepper in particular has a unique chemical in it that can help you loose weight as well. There are a lot more herbs and spices that have natural fat fighting compounds, many Indian spices such as turmeric and cumin, for example are helpful as well.

This is truthfully only going to be minuscule changes – for a Fitness Model or Bodybuilder, these small changes when at low body fat levels will make a difference, but don’t go down the “Fat Burning Pill” avenue — its not needed.

…Now You Want To Get “Lean”

You have smashed through your initial weight loss goals, and your aim is now to get in great shape. To really drop into low body fat and reveal your body and shape.

This is when you need to use advanced tactics as used HERE with Lean Body Life

Important:  Don’t lose sights of the basics — the habits you have created with being able eat a nourishing diet and train consistently and with intensity is what will bring you the best results.

Each person is unique and there is no one-size-fits-all approach to finding the weight loss diet that will work for you. It can take a bit of work and experimenting.  To fast-track that and have the professional guidance and support of a team you can’t find anywhere else…

I sincerely thank Chris for sharing {allowing me to share him with you}

Love & light, Charlie x.

Pretty happy I get to have sweet potato chips after training tonight 😉 And to visit the farmers market this weekend for lots of fresh goodies!

Feature; Charlie de Haas, the fifty two woman project.

I was recently honoured to be featured on Debbie Spellman’s website as 1 of her fifty women features.

Debbie is a personal source of inspiration to me, and I remember when I first met her, I could literally feel the love and compassion radiating out of her. Our green smoothie date turned into a deep heartfelt 2 hr chat about all things life and love, and creating a change in the world. Since then Ive worked beside her at speaking events and enjoyed watching her personal journey and business grow and develop.

Im never one to say Im perfect, in fact Im incredibly far from it. Im learning, everyday, to embrace my perfect imperfections, because they are mine. So I wanted to share this feature, and a little about me.

Charlie de Haas is one phenomenal woman! Not only is she one of the most beautiful souls I have ever met, I have watched her take an idea and concept and turn it into a powerhouse. Her Clean Treats product and ‘Charlie’s Balls’ brand are taking Sydney by storm and her vision for her empire is so admirable! This is one feature you will want to read. I love Charlie’s approach to life and I am so excited to share her techniques on how she manages herself. Once again she has demonstrated the power of The Fifty Two Women Project by sharing her vulnerabilities which many of us just don’t see behind what we perceive as a very successful women. I hope this feature inspires you to realise we are all the same and it’s simply how we choose to show up that makes the difference in who we are and our life circumstances.

{yes, I did feel beautifully emotional reading such gorgeous words from a woman I highly respect & value}

You are such an inspiration for women in all you have achieved in your business. Was there a time when you didn’t feel so confident in what you were doing and why?

Yes, there are many occasions when I feel doubt or unsure. I think this is the pure beauty of life and business and things will always happen that will make you question yourself, your decisions, and your goals. What’s important is to create your own Self-love tools to provide the right answers and cultivate a sense of self trust.

If something rocks my world, perhaps something didn’t work out the way I wanted it to, I now know to revisit my core beliefs, why I’m doing what I am doing, and trust that what is right for me will be.

Was there a defining moment when you decided to launch your business or did this develop and evolve over time?

I have been involved in health and wellness for the past ten years, always working for other people and changing constantly, I was always looking for more.

I then had a dream of inspiring people, of creating change in the world and started to research ways I could do this on my own. I then took the risk (self-employment), put everything I had into it, and created a deep core belief that I could do anything, and did it.

Living our passion – even one which stems from our truest hearts desires – can be daunting. What has been the biggest obstacle you have had to overcome in your mindset in order to live the life of your dreams?

Some people may not know, but I am very open about it, I suffer depression and BPD. I have a core belief that I will never be good enough (something I am in the process of working on). These have definitely held me back at times, yet I am also thankful for them. We each have our own story to tell, our own trials and tribulations, and it’s when you can accept them, realize them and create healthy habits to overcome them, that’s when you can truly fall in love with yourself and your life. Because there will always be the good and the bad, you will always have strengths and weaknesses. It’s about self-acceptance.

Debbie specialises in a technique know as The Mind Detox. Its about breaking free from those unhelpful core values and beliefs you have created somewhere in your life, to be able to realise your full potential and be the very best you can be.

Its about being your authentic self and realising that you are amazing, exactly as you are, and to stop holding yourself back.

I hope you enjoyed the feature.

Monday Motivation… Marina Passalaris {Beautiful Minds}

You know when you meet people and you just feel ‘WOW’. Marina Passalaris is one of those types of people that make you instantly fall in love with the way her smile lights her face, the depth in her words and the manner in which she acts.

I have been lucky enough to work with Marina & her beautiful program for teenage girls. Its designed to educate teenagers and their parents how to achieve happiness through vital life skills, self-esteem, confidence building and grooming.

Marina is also a radio presenter, author and has been featured in many national & international acclaimed press.

‘I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles.’ Audrey Hepburn

Charlie: You are a successful business woman and the creator of Beautiful Minds, what do you attribute this success to?

Success is very boils down to having a clear vision, being lazer focused, working incredibly hard and knowing that giving up is neither a choice or an option.

Charlie: When did you decide to you wanted to be involved in the wellness industry?

I spent 15 years working as a grooming and deportment educator and make up artist in some of the top modelling agencies in Cape Town, London, Germany and Australia. This industry is known for negatively affecting girl’s confidence. I realised that there was a real need to educate girls more about their emotions and well-being. I wanted to achieve this by doing the Beautiful Minds courses in an environment that was conducive to all girls of any size and from any background, not just model ‘wanna be’s’. I wrote a program that I wish I had done as a young girl. It covers everything about being a teen girl in today’s society. Beautiful Minds has been a vision of mine for many years. I want to show young girls that they are beautiful inside and out.

Charlie: What inspired you to follow your passion?

If you know what your passion in life is, what your purpose is and what you want your legacy to be, you will pursue it with everything you have.

Charlie: How do you feel as an inspirational figure/mentor?

I don’t look at myself as an inspirational figure as that has a tendency to place me on a pedestal. It is more about the sharing of knowledge and passing this onto my Beautiful Minds students in the hope they will go on to create incredible lives for themselves.

‘Believe in yourself! Have faith in your abilities! Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers you cannot be successful or happy.’ Norman Vincent Peale

Charlie: Has there been any challenges along your journey?

I would say rising above the ‘rip offs’. What I mean by this is that when you have a successful company, other individuals try and copy exactly what you are doing. I have had this experience and the blatant copying is rather outrageous. I have learnt to take it as a weird compliment that we must be doing something right. I also ensure that the business model changes and constantly improves so we are always top of our game.

‘You will never be happy if you continue to search for what happiness consists of. You will never live if you are looking for the meaning of life.’ Albert Camus

Charlie: How do you maintain balance between your Career and personal health?

find it a bit of a juggle at times but as I am getting older, I am really starting to invest more in my health. I try and have one full day off a week, I eat really clean food and I try to exercise as often as possible. I have started having regular massages and putting time aside for me to just be still and to unwind.

Charlie: What do you believe are the keys to success in business?

You have to give people an incredible experience. They are buying into a feeling, how you make them feel when they have finished doing business with you. That is imperative. Under promise and over deliver.

Charlie: What is your advice for anyone who has a dream?

We all have dreams but there is a huge difference between having a dream and taking small steps towards making this dream a reality. Be fearless, take action and chase the dream so it becomes a reality. Women are incredible, we are much stronger than we give ourselves credit for! Go after the life you desire. It may not be easy, but it will be worth it. I understand that fear stops people from doing many things but if your desire is stronger than your fear, you will find a way to do it.

Charlie: What can we look forward to next from you?

As the business has been going for 8 years, it has evolved over time. Beautiful Minds is about to totally change the way we educate young girls and we are in the process of setting up a very exciting event for girls aged 11 – 17. This event will be at The Paddington Town Hall on Saturday 6th September and is a full day jam packed with celebrities, guest speakers, dance troupes, music, dj’s and so much more! The aim of the day is to educate, inspire and entertain our youth. We have 550 tickets and these go on sale on April 10th. This event will then be rolled out Australia wide. There are so many incredible things happening in the Beautiful Minds office at the moment and the growth of the company is extremely exciting.

‘Be happy with what you have and are, be generous with both, and you won’t have to hunt for happiness.’ William E. Gladstone

Charlie: Top 3 healthy tips/advice?

1: Every night, I listen to positive affirmations or subliminal music that will positively feed my mind as I fall asleep. I believe in training the mind every single day. We are all taught to exercise our bodies for at least 30 minutes every day. We need to do the same with our minds. This will significantly slow down the mental chatter as you re-program your mind to think positively.

2: Drink lots of water and get adequate sleep each night

3: Eat healthy, clean food. Your body and mind will thank you for it.

I sincerly thank Marina for her time. If you know of anyone who would like to attend her events, or if you would like to stay up to date with her classes and seminars available (there is a course starting next week):

{Yes, Im so proud and lucky to be included in the upcoming Beautiful Minds GIRLFRIEND event…Book now, it will sell out!!!}

Monday Motivation…Andrew Sparks

Monday, love it or hate it, its a new day filled with new opportunities to get up and make something of yourself. To get up and be better than you were yesterday. And to help Im sharing with you one of my own persoanl inspirations, Andrew Sparks from Sparks Elite.

Andrew Sparks is an internationally recognised motivational speaker, peak performance expert and coach to business leaders, athletes and aspiring achievers.

“Accept responsibility for your life. Know that it is you who will get you where you want to go, no one else.” – Les Brown

Charlie: You are a successful performance coach and mentor – what do you attribute this success to?

The first is having a good understanding of people and the way we think. This allows me to get to the bottom of issues quickly and also see the upside that people are looking for. Secondly, education. I am always learning, and finally, determination. If you want to be a leader and innovator, you have to work like one. You can have a million dollar dream, but if you have a hundred dollar work ethic, that’s all you’ll get.

‘Challenges are what make life interesting and overcoming them is what makes life meaningful.” – Joshua J. Marine

Charlie: When did you decide to you wanted to be involved in the wellness industry?

I sort of fell into it. I needed to work on a few things myself and when I learnt some things, I knew I could help other people. That’s where this all began and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Charlie: What inspired you to follow your passion?

Seeing the changes in people. Helping people be, do and have more, and being able to play a small part in that is what inspires me to do what I do.
Charlie: How do you feel as an inspirational figure/mentor?

It’s great to be able to help and inspire people. That’s what it’s all about for me – helping people achieve more than they thought they could before we met. If I just do that for one person out of a room full of people, I’ve done my job. It feels pretty damn good.
Charlie: Has there been any challenges along your journey?

More than I could list. That’s how this whole journey started. There were personal challenges on many levels and today there are business challenges every single day, but when you get past those, you grow and gain belief that anything is possible. That’s what I believe now and I would never have believed that if I hadn’t had the adversity to overcome. I don’t see those things as bad, I see them as awesome, in a way. Everything that happens to us, happens for a reason. We make a choice to either be a victim of it, or make it a strength.

Charlie: How do you maintain balance between your Career and personal health?

Balance can be difficult when you’re teaching high performance, and being congruent with what you teach. It’s living to my values is what makes it work. My top 3 values are my mission (business), my health and fitness and my relationship. When I focus on those things weekly, I’m on track. There’s no couch time and less times with friends and family than I would like, but that’s the stage of life I’m at. In 5 years, my goals and values will be different and all of this will probably be different.

Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, or worn. It is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace & gratitude.” – Denis Waitley

Charlie: What do you believe are the keys to success in business?

Keep it simple. People make things way too complex. Aside from that, make sure you have the right strategy and then work hard. Honestly, that’s it. If you master those 3 things, you will be wildly successful at anything.

Charlie: What is your advice for anyone who has a dream?

Go and get it. Don’t stop. It’s your dream and you can do it. Push hard and realise your potential.
Charlie: What can we look forward to next from you?

Dont be afraid to stand for what you believe in, even if that means standing alone.. – Unknown

My company Sparks Elite is growing quite quickly. We have some extremely exciting programs to help people be better in their business, health and fitness, career, finances and relationships. Some of these are already rolling and we’re on track to be providing cutting edge programs and retreats in all of these areas by early next year. The next 12 months is so exciting for our team and our clients. I’m can’t wait!

Charlie: Top 3 healthy tips/advice?

Be consistent with your exercise, eat sensibly and run. Running clears my mind, so that’s my version of ‘down time’.

I sincerely thank Andrew for his time.

Love & light, Charlie x.

Surround yourself with people who make you want to be better, to be more, the ones that are chasing their own dreams…those passion filled conversations…priceless.

Charlie’s program is full of awesome information that has helped me take positive steps towards a healthier, happier lifestyle. The way the program focuses on small steps at a time, helped me build up a healthy routine from first thing in the morning, until last thing at night. The helpful hints are simple things that I have never found before, yet are so easy to include in your day. Charlies approach, advice and attitude made me feel I had so much support, without judgment, during the whole program. Having Charlie there, and knowing she believed in me, gave me what I needed to be able to believe in myself.

The Be Well Project.

‘I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Charlie and the be Well project, not only did it truly resonate with me, but it was an easy, motivating and the first time I believe a total ‘holistic program’ has been offered, for me personally the challenges were to begin to accept myself and my journey, come what may, self-love would have to be the most important exercise I know do on a daily basis, at first it can seem confronting or ‘corny’ however I solely recommend to push through these negative thoughts as the results are more than beneficial.

new year

I am a better person to myself and to my loved ones through the self-search of love no matter what and where I am in the journey to be a healthier person, it taught me to think more of the universal bigger picture that just total focus on the exercise and controlling my eating.

Thankyou Charlie, you really have given me the tools and basis of which I will continue on my journey to accept myself regardless.’

Old friends. New friends.

As I have launched myself into the world that is self employment, dream chasing, following my dream, aspiring to inspire {and all the fun stuff called stress that comes with it}, I’m experiencing challenges of a different kind, the type that not everyone can relate to. I have found that as my life is changing immensely I am making connections with new people who just get it. They get me, and the conversations over a green juice flow effortlessly for hrs.

‘Surround yourself with only people who are going to lift you higher.’ Oprah Winfrey

I have felt myself hold onto guilt for not experiencing the same mind-blowing connection with old friends. Guilt because aren’t friends me at to be in your life forever? Guilt for redirecting my time. Guilt for investing my time with people whose lives are flowing in the same direction (like rivers running parallel).

I discussed this manner with someone who was one of these soul inspiring meetings and she justified my truth, people come and go this is the natural flow and ebb of life. As you change your priorities change, your interests change. So it’s not so much about leaving people behind, it becomes how committed are you both to investing in the friendship? Is the friendship worth committing to? (This I cant answer for you, its something you should both decide).

‘I think it’s a very firm part of human nature that if you surround yourself with like-minded people, you’ll end up thinking more extreme versions of what you thought before.’ Cass Sunstein

I no longer choose to spend my weekends a in a dark club consuming ridiculous amounts of alcohol and other substances. I work for myself, every day is vital to my survival…my income. I literally cannot afford to waste a day. My time is my value, not only that, but in my business, I am my greatest asset. If I dont feel 110% on the inside I cannot give 110% to my world around me.

I cannot afford to have a day spent in bed hurting (because my gosh alcohol does). If I say no to a drinking session, or partying why should I experience guilt, after all, is acting in such self harming ways good for either of our health? Surely it’s ok for me to request healthy options to invest our time wisely and nourish and nurture our bodies and minds at the same time?

Spend time with people who sincerely want the very best life has to offer you. People who believe in the beauty of your dreams. People who inspire you.

‘Talking about our problems is our greatest addiction. Break the habit. Talk about your joys.’ Rita Schiano

Life Changes, we change.

‘As you learn who you are, you can better surround yourself with friends who make you a better person, and that sometimes only happens when you disassemble old relationships.’ Maggie Stiefvater

There are people we automatically gravitate to because of a connection. Since releasing my book I have been working hard, I can easily say harder than I ever have before. This is my dream, & to continue living it every moment matters. My time is my investment. I have been lucky enough to connect with beautiful people who just get it, the passion, pressures and direction of a dream, a goal and who understand the trials and tribulations of creating your own business. If I have a deadline, I have a deadline and this means doing whatever it takes to meet it, including working until 1am on a Friday night to get it done, I will do so. (I do enjoy the pressures of deadlines) Not everyone understands this.

I’m not saying new friends are better than old friends, I’m simply asking how committed are both you and your older friend to ensuring the friendship grows? Like any relationship, it takes effort. Respect. Are you being respectful and appreciative of the people in your life? Are you to focused on the good times (partying?) what happens when this is over? There are people who are meant to be in your life for a lifetime, others for a moment. Learn to value each and every person, every connection. Not for what you can get from them, but for what you can give them.

People will come and go, be your true self and create a sense of understanding, life changes, we change.

‘To all the other dreamers out there, don’t ever stop or let the world’s negativity disenchant you or your spirit. If you surround yourself with love and the right people, anything is possible.’ Adam Green

Love & Light, Charlie x.

Friendship is a priceless investment. Are you making the right one?

Envy or celebrate {others success}?

Do you find yourself envious of others success, or do you choose to celebrate their joys?

I have found that sometimes it can be those that are closest to you that dont seem to share with you the same level of happiness in your successes as those who barely know you. Why is it that we can’t enjoy others success freely and instead try to belittle them or the way they have achieved their accomplishments?

‘It’s not people who resent successful people; it’s resentful people who resent successful people.’ Bo Bennett

As Im striving to continue working for myself doing what I love (this is my definition of success) I have fond that I am receiving recognition, support and congratulations from places and people I least expect it from, but perhaps not so much from the people I do (expectations we know only lead you to disappointment).

success3Are we that selfish that we cannot express happiness for people who work hard to follow their dreams?

‘It’s our nature: Human beings like success but they hate successful people.’ Carrot Top

When others believe that you have achieved the success they are yet to find, it can be difficult to swallow. After all we are all out there trying to the very best we can with what we have (or are you?).

‘When you’re around enormously successful people you realise their success isn’t an accident – it’s about work.’ Ryan Tedder

What determines who is successful and who is not?

“The world aint all sunshine and rainbows. Its a very  mean and nasty place, and I dont care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it, you me or nobody is going to hit as hard as life, but it aint about how hard you hit, its about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward.

Thats how winning is done.’ Rocky

Its about how badly you want it.  You have to be prepared to do the work. When you achieve your version of success, you will understand me when I say, it is hard work. You have to keep going, for every 10 no’s there is 1 yes, for every minute there is hours worth of work to do. There are no days off. Work comes before partying. Your dream becomes your reality when you live and breathe it every moment of every day.

‘When you want to succeed as much as you want to breathe, then youll be successful’.  Eric Thomas

I used to gaze wistfully at successful people, people who I thought had it all. It LOOKS so easy. Now, I can tell you I look to those same successful people with full admiration and respect for I am fast learning the highs, the lows the sideway turns that it takes to get there.

There are some people in the world who just don’t like other people success. Resentment. Jealousy. Envy. This says more about them then it does you.

There are some people who are inspired by your success and admire you for dedication to your dream. Offer them a helping hand and keep these people close to you. Positivity breeds positivity.

‘Successful people have a social responsibility to make the world a better place and not just take from it.’ Carrie Underwood

So be one of the ones that celebrates in others successes, you will feel better for it to. Celebrate, be motivated and share love.

The more you help others get what they want, the more ways what you want will come to you. This is true.

Success is hard work. Its saying I can in a world that will tell you you cant. Its believing in yourself when no one else does. Its getting up every time you fall. Its saying, I will not fail.

First, you just have to decide. Decide what you want, who you want to be, then do everything you can to be that person.

‘All successful people men and women are big dreamers. They imagine what their future could be, ideal in every respect, and then they work every day toward their distant vision, that goal or purpose.’ Brian Tracy

Self Love Sunday…Be your own best friend.

As life transitions I cant help but question the choices and decisions I have been making, what is right, what is perhaps not so?

‘It takes courage to grow up and become who you truly are’.

What opinions have I been paying too much attention to and what opportunities have I overlooked? These thoughts are feelings of fear; fear of failure. They are created from a place within me that is scared to fail, to ‘not make it’ (whatever that means).

I have been thinking and acting towards myself as though I was someone I didn’t really care for. This is acting as my own worst enemy. Self love is learning to be your own best friend, being able to know you’ve got your own back in times of stress or need.

‘What would you attempt if you knew you could not fail?’

‘It is hard to fail, but it is worse never to have tried to succeed.’ Theodore Roosevelt

As I re-evaluate these thoughts and exactly where they are coming from, I realise that I havent been 110% dedicated to creating the change in my life that I desire. I havent been as productive as I could. In fact, I have been less than as my old patterns of self sabotage are returning. Finding reasons and ways to destroy this amazing happiness that I have found. After all, what did I ever do to deserve this?

All my life I have a tendency to self sabotage the good that comes into my life. This was created from a very young age, a feeling of not deserving good in my life, of not being good enough. Good things would occur, I wouldnt feel deserving or worthy and find ways to ruin it.

The fact is, every single person deserves the happiness they seek.

My Sunday self-love act this week is to make a plan, to write it down and utilise my time effectively. To put in the extra effort that I know is required to become more of who I am.

‘I failed my way to success’. Thomas Edison

They say success is not about how many times you fail, but about how many times you get back up and try again. Often we look at successful inspirational people, viewing their lives from the outside and thinking ‘wow’, it can all look so easy. Yet, we have no idea of their own personal battles they may be fighting. I believe this is what success is, to truly over come your inner fear and ego and let yourself shine. To try and make a mistake, acknowledge it and then try again….this is SUCCESS. You just have to keep going, then how can you fail? (these are all affirmations to myself).

‘One who fears failure limits his activities. Failure is only the opportunity to more intelligently begin again.’ Henry Ford

Self Sabotage can be acts of procrastination, of avoidance. Self Sabotage is creating a limitation for yourself. Sure you may have a dream, but how far and how hard are you prepared to work to achieve it? Self sabotage may be finding yourself so close to your dream then faltering, or procrastinating with the little things that will take you to that higher level (think a race horse, trained with the ability to win a huge race, yet fear stops him at the gate). your own limitations keep you in your safety zone.

Today I am making a conscious choice to stop being my own worst enemy, and instead I will be my own best friend. I will not pay any attention to my inner mean girl. She will get no love or attention from me.

We often forget the way we treat ourselves can be less than appropriate, yet give our love willingly away to those we call our friends. Treat yourself as you would someone you really care about. The way you would your very best friend in need of support.

Are you procrastinating the gym? Why? Are you procrastinating a difficult conversation, why? For me, I’ve been procrastinating putting in that extra 20% required to make it, for fear of really trying and failing, of not being good enough.

‘Our greatest glory consist not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.’ Oliver Goldsmith

Today I choose to act with self love. To make a promise and commitment to my dream, to do anything and everything it takes (including changing my direction and overcoming hurdles) to make it my reality.

Love & light, Charlie x.
